Terms of Use: Look around, if you like something, buy it. If you don't see anything you like, let us know!
Really, all we ask that you don't spam us, hotlink to our pictures, or attempt to DoS us. Be nice. Life's too short.

Privacy Policy: We don't sell your email addresses, or any other info. Period.

We don't keep your credit card numbers on any site, or longer than is necessary to process them! We use crazy long passwords, and we don't use Windows on any machine that has access to your info. There's plenty of other things we do to keep your data safe, but I'm not going to list them all. Guard dogs, lasers, and angry bees might be involved.

Our site is secure with a SSL certificate from our swell webhost (hostasaurus.com) which is why you'll see 'https://vikingwoodcrafts.hostasaurus.com/' instead of 'https://vikingwoodcrafts.com/' in your browser's address bar. You may get a popup notice from your browser informing you of this. That's fine. You're secure. If you have any questions, feel free to call or email.

Why aren't some of the photos showing?

Currently, we have over 10,000 items on vikingwoodcrafts.com. Out of those 10,000 items, there are roughly 8,600 photos. If you see a red 'X', or no picture at all, you are not doing something wrong! We haven't put those pictures up yet.

You will notice that many paints and brushes are not pictured, as well as some items from days of old. These pictures will be replaced as time permits. If you email us a item number, we may be able to send you a photo after some delay.

How do I find something I'm looking for?

There are several different ways to find something on vikingwoodcrafts.com.

First, we recommend the search. Our new search is very powerful, and allows you to search by Item number, Item Name, Description and even price! As of right now, there are only a few Descriptions on the site (located under the picture in the single item view), but more are being added every day!

If you are getting too many items in your search, try being more specific. Instead of searching for 'box', try searching for box round' or 'box heart'.

If you are searching for something, and aren't getting enough results - be more general. Try entering less in the search box. Searching for 'John Sliney' and not getting any results? Type 'Sliney' in the search box and there he is! This works the same for surfaces; 'box' will have more results than 'box with heart lid'.

Occasionally, our spelling leaves a bit to be desired, so entering the first few letters of an elusive item can sometimes do the trick; we will correct these errors as we find them.

Please note: The names of our items are up to 32 characters long. We'd love for them to be longer, but our old inventory system has other ideas. We try to squeeze as much information as we can in there, but the fine details or full titles can get cut off or abbreviated in strange ways. Keep this in mind when searching, and you'll have no problem finding most of our items.

Each category contains from three or three items to one hundred or more. You will find fewer items in the deeper categories, as they have been separated into more detailed sections.

How do I sign in to buy something?

If you have an existing account on our website just click on 'Sign In & Details' button on the top navigational bar, or the 'Sign In' link on the top of the Category Tree. If you haven't shopped with us before you will need to click on the 'Sign In & Details' button and create a new account.

How do I checkout?

If you have an account, you're half-way there! If you have not signed in, please do so. After you are signed in, all you will need to do is enter your credit card number and follow the prompts.

Why am I not getting an Order Confirmation?

Please ensure your email addresses in the 'Email Lost Passwords To' field and the email addresses in the shipping and billing lists are correct! Make sure you have whitelisted us if your email provider has a Spam Blocker.

Due to the numbers of orders we recieve, we cannot respond to automated whitelist requests, or 'type in a buncha stuff here because this sender has requested all email to be blocked' email bounces. You will need to add 'sales@vikingwoodcrafts' and 'viking@vikingwoodcrafts.com' to your whitelist.

Another reason you may not be getting our emails: Your mailbox is full! Get in there and toss some stuff. :)

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs are based on weight and dimension of box and zip code of destination.

Many of our products vary in weight with change in humidity and weather. Wood is a natural substance that varies in density with different species of trees. Our shipping costs are based on weight after packing.

A copy of the invoice with shipping total will be included with your order. If you have special requirements, please let us know when you place your order, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our minimum shipping charge is $4.00.

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express on our web site.

If you call or come to our store, we'll be happy to accept personal or certified checks as well. Please be advised that a $20.00 fee will applied for *any* returned check.

General Ordering Information and Policies:

When placing your order by phone, please give us a complete address, as shippers can not deliver to a P.O. Box number.  We require complete item number, description, and quantity.

If you are enclosing a check with your order, please add an estimated 20% for shipping and handling.  Any excess will be credited or refunded at the time your order is invoiced.  See shipping notes above.

Minimum shipping charge is $4.00.  Payment may be made by check, certified check, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. If you have requested your order to be shipped COD, (phone orders only) $7.25 will be added to cover the COD fee.  Your check must be in U.S. funds.

Refunds:

If you have prepaid your order, a refund check will be issued with your invoice for any items not shipped, or we can credit your account to be applied to your next order, whichever you prefer.

Returns:


Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.  Requests for returns must be made within 10 calendar days of receiving your order, listing the invoice number and details.  Credit will be issued at the billing price upon receipt of returned product, providing product is in its original packaging and saleable condition.  A 20% restocking fee will be applied to your account for any merchandise ordered in error, refused or returned after 10 calendar days   Videos, Pattern Packets and Books are not returnable.

Damage/ Shortages:

All care and attention possible is given in the packing of your order, but once the shipment is in the hands of the carrier, our responsibility ceases.  Please inspect your boxes immediately upon delivery and have the driver note any exterior damage before signing for your shipment.

If you find any damage upon opening your shipment, please call Viking Woodcrafts. Save all boxes and shipping materials. Further instructions will be given to you by phone.

Damage Claims:

For any damage/shortage, claim must be made within 5 Calendar Days of receiving your order.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

We will be happy to try to accommodate you with special orders.  Special orders must be prepaid and cannot be cancelled or returned.

Back Orders:

Back ordered items will be indicated clearly on your invoice.  If back orders are not desired, please indicate this when placing your order.  Any back order over 30 days old is subject to cancellation.

Hazardous Charges and Restricted Materials:

Some products now require special handling by our shippers.  For these products there will be additional shipping charges applied. Aerosol cans will not be shipped into Foreign Countries.

Liability:

Viking Woodcrafts, Inc. cannot be held responsible for injuries or illness sustained by the use of any product we distribute or for the value of work alleged to be spoiled by the use of a product which proves unsatisfactory.  It is the user's responsibility to make sure that the products are suitable for their particular requirements.  Our liability is limited to replacement of merchandise proven defective with respect to workmanship or manufacturers defect.
